I feel like daylight savings snuck up on me this year. I was entirely unprepared to have 7am feel like 6am. While abrupt, the shift this last week has really brought it home that longer days are on the way and the little leaves of my tulips popping through can only mean one thing - Spring will be here soon. Winter is always a quieter time where I dedicate free hours to catching up with all things administrative, learning new skills, practicing technique, and honoring the slower pace that the season brings.
I also spent time this winter in a really special class; untangling the complicated web of feelings that surround motherhood, working, reconciling the complexities and heartaches that accompany big life changes, and doing a deep dive into what it means to be a “mother.” This group was led by a wonderful teacher and friend of mine, Sarah Clark; check out her work HERE.
