There is something about the first hint of spring that always sparks my wanderlust, the unshakeable churn that lives very deep inside my chest. The almost craving feeling to go somewhere new, see somewhere else, do something different.
This winter felt very long.
In fact it was, indeed, one of the coldest, and snowiest winters in over a decade. Which is about how long I have lived in Maine. This April, we will cross our ten year Maine-iversary. It is the longest uninterrupted location that I have ever lived. The house that I live in is the longest residence I have stayed at in my whole life. I have moved cities 14 times, inside of that, I have lost track of how many times I have changed locations, some cities were marked by moving every year or more frequently. I have tried to count back all the different apartments and houses I have lived in and every time I have lost count somewhere, it’s in the thirties, but I can’t recall everything, especially some of the moves when I was a very small child.
It feels uncomfortable to be in the same place for long, but somehow my home in a tiny town outside of a sort of smallish city feels less like a place I need to escape, and more like a base from which to launch and return again.
During the dark quietude of Maine winter, I have been doing a lot of learning and planning.
Spring is finally here (technically speaking) so, between now March 20, 2026 the first day of Spring and Sunday June 21st, 2026, the first day of summer, I will be available for family and lifestyle sessions in southern Maine, New Hampshire, and Massachusetts.
Once we are fully in summer, my availability opens WAY up, and I will be able to book summer sessions throughout the week.

I already have some weekends filled up, so even though it’s hard to plan this far in advance, reach out now!
The other thing I want to tell you about is my plan to visit San Diego this year. I am looking at dates in mid July. If you are in the Southern California region and would like to have me take your photo, I need to know! Planning this trip every year is a little like the chicken or the egg, it is dependent on clients booking in advance, it is also hard to book in advance when you have no solid date for when I will be there. I know. It’s a bit of a puzzle, but I am forever in love with San Diego and getting to be there, to make photos in one of my very favorite places and former homes is honestly, really crucial to my mental health. So, it’s happening this year, If you live in the San Diego area and want to have photos taken, MESSAGE me.
My clients are like the points in a stunning constellation, each one a brilliant memory recorded in light. I'm not saying that to be mystical, it is actually how photography works. You are a bright light, and I am grateful for you.
